Fire Extinguishers
Fire extinguishers inspection and maintenance schedule:

Monthly. Inspection by owner to check condition, access and pressure of extinguisher. Inspection to be documented on inspection tag.

Annual. Maintenance by NFPA certified technician. Replace tamper seal, update inspection tag and provide complete maintenance report as per NFPA 10.

5 year internal and hydrostatic. For wet chemical and carbon dioxide extinguishers, at 5 year intervals, the extinguisher is required to be disassembled, internally inspected and the cylinder is to be hydrostatically tested for integrity by a certified shop.

6 year internal. For dry chemical stored pressure extinguishers, at intervals of 6 years, the extinguisher is required to be disassembled and internally inspected by a certified shop.

12 year hydrostatic. For dry chemical stored pressure extinguishers, at intervals of 12 years, the extinguisher is required to be disassembled and the shell is to be hydrostatically tested to ensure the integrity of the cylinder by a certified shop.

Residential, commercial or industrial clients are all welcome, our shop of fully equipped to take care of all needs. Fleets, large facilities, remote sites to single residential units, Petersen Contracting has the ability to handle jobs of all scales. Allow our trained technicians to preform your NFPA 10 annual extinguisher inspections and certifications, hydro static testing, six (6) year inspections and recharging. We can perform our inspections onsite right at your facility or you can bring your equipment in to our shop.

For new installs, simply send us the list of the extinguishers you require. We will deliver and install them onsite.
